The main roads in the area are Grant, Taylor, Corydon, Academy, and Kenaston. There are buses that run along all of these roads, including the 18, 20, and 66, as well as a number of Express routes. These routes make it easy to reach Winnipeg’s Downtown core and the Southwest Transitway (Rapid Transit).
Interested in active transportation? River Heights might be the neighbourhood for you. You’ll find a multi-use path along Taylor – perfect for walking and biking. There’s also a dedicated bike lane on Grosvenor and a neighbourhood greenway on Fleet. Sidewalks also adorn all the major streets, so it’s easy to walk around River Heights.
Living in River Heights is incredibly convenient. There are grocery stores, convenience stores, salons, dentists, doctors, massage therapists, hair stylists (and barbers), boutique shops (including boutique food shops, like La Grotta), and so much more. Anything you need is never more than a few blocks away.

There are excellent schools in the area, too, including French immersion schools. Grant Park High School is nearby, too, so your kids can go to school close to home no matter how old they are. With Assiniboine Park so close, you’ll have plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy with your kids. The neighbourhood is also extremely peaceful – it’s a great place to raise a family.
