St. Boniface/Saint-Boniface is Winnipeg’s historic French Quarter. You can appreciate the neighbourhood’s history when you see the street names, and by looking at the businesses lining Provencher Boulevard. The old City Hall of St. Boniface still stands, a testament to when the area was its own city before amalgamation. See the available Winnipeg apartments below.

AfficherThere’s no end of things to do in St. Boniface (or “St. B”, as most of the residents call it). Beautiful trails and parks dot the area, including the Gabrielle Roy Route, which takes you by the Seine River and in front of Gabrielle Roy House, the historic home of the famous author.
Looking for food? There are endless delights at your fingertips in St. Boniface. From bakeries like La Belle Baguette to the classy fare at Resto Gare, which is located in a former train station. And things don’t end there. You can get amazing Japanese food from Dwarf no Cachette Café, Laotian food at Vientiane, traditional French fare at InFerno’s, burgers from Mrs. Mike’s, and so much more. It’s incredible how many restaurants there are in this one neighbourhood. (Seriously, we couldn’t even fit all our favourites in this list.)
There are so many wonderful sightseeing opportunities, too. The picturesque Cathédrale Saint-Boniface, the Esplanade Riel bridge, and the historic Fort Gibraltar, which hosts the Festival du Voyageur every year. You’ll see snow sculptures throughout the neighbourhood in February. Drive around and enjoy the sights!
St. Boniface is served by a number of streets: Provencher (which connects to Main Street via the Provencher Bridge), Taché (which connects to St. Mary’s and the St. Boniface Hospital), Marion, and Des Meurons. Most of the commercial activity in the neighbourhood can be found around these four streets.
The area is served by a number of bus routes, most of which follow along Provencher. You can catch the 10, 19, 43, and 49 buses in St. Boniface. The neighbourhood is right next to Winnipeg’s Downtown core, so it’s extremely easy to go from St. Boniface to anywhere else in the city.
St. Boniface was its own city before amalgamation, and that led to the development of all the infrastructure a city needs. There are plenty of convenience stores, pharmacies, grocery stores, hair salons, spas, and anything else you could want.
Medical infrastructure is particularly well developed in St. Boniface because of the St. Boniface Hospital. This makes it an excellent place to live for those who require specialized medical care.
There are an incredible number of locally owned businesses in the area – too many to count! The longer you live here, the more business you’ll find that you love.
No matter where you choose to live in St. Boniface, you’ll find a selection of wonderful apartments available for rent. We have one, two, and three bedroom apartments, so no matter what your lifestyle is, there will be a perfect space for you. Come to St. Boniface, and say allô to Winnipeg’s French neighbourhood!
